In the Local, National and Worldwide music blog award, we’ve juxtaposed some of the most amazingly written blogs covering global trends in the industry with those who pertain solely to small geographical scenes yet vibrant scenes such as that of Brighton, UK and San Francisco’s Bay Area. Some even split themselves between both local and regional coverage – a tricky feat but one which such featured blogs manage to pull off with seemingly very little effort.

All of the sites on the list feature a strong editorial voice, yet are massively different from one another in their distinct style, tone and subject matter. Music journalism seldom reaches such great heights not to mention this level of consistent quality, and the fact that it is free to enjoy by all is worth a lot of praise – definitely a lot more than we can offer here, but we offer our thanks nonetheless.
