"I have had my chairs for 3 days now, and I am very happy so far, however upon receiving them, and setting them up I found several minor issues. 1 the boxes that they where shipped in was damaged. 2 After setting them up, one of the chairs that was in the most damaged box did not work upon plugging it in, but after turning the chair on it side, it began to work and then after setting the remaining chairs up I noticed the wiring coming from the controls on the chairs that did not have arms was not routed well, so that when the chair was reclining or declining the wire would not interfere with reclining mechanism, when would cause the wire to get crimped I slid the wiring over to a different position and have had no further problems. 3 The led lights on the bottom of the chair was installed backwards so that you could not plug the chair beside it in, I remove the led light strip which was just attached with zip ties and flipped it and re-attached, and it works fine. Other than these issues I'm happy."

The lights in the chairs have on/off button so when you are watching a movie you can turn the lights off and not have a glare in the dark room coming from the seats! So far I've watched a movie every night since I've gotten them. I have to test them out, right? What a blast. The cup holders are bigger than my old seats thats a plus because soda bottles are all different sizes now, so I don't have to be so selective at the grocery store. With the electric recliner the seats are heavy and you'll need 2 people to move.The chairs are fairly comfortable, though they recline from your waist to feet pretty much flat which isn't the most comfortable. We purchased the Octane Turbo powered recliners (set of 3). Follow up questions via email were handled promptly as well. Power mechanism is quiet, and the power cords are about 6 feet long so no problem reaching the outlet or power strip. Added 2 black accessory tables thinking that was all we would need, but they are so practical, will need to get a third (1 for each recliner). USB ports are already in use and work great. In-arm storage is deeper than expected (can hold several books, accessories, remotes, etc.). Wall-hugger feature truly makes these easy to place in our smaller TV room. "I am reviewing 4 chairs I bought back in July of 2015 and now it is February 2016-so I've had time to get to know these chairs. I bought 3 with top grain leather/power recline and one with bonded leather/manual recline. Why one different? Well my room had enough space for 3 in the main row and the 4th seat was going in a corner in the back and I figured will get very little use-so why not save $200. So is there a difference between the top grain and bonded leather? Yes there is. It's not a huge difference and when I have people over nobody notices that chair in the back is slightly different visually but if you make a point to compare you will notice the top grain leather is better. Also the power recline is awesome and worth it over the manual recline. I did watch one movie in the bonded/manual chair just to get a feel for it and it's not bad-but the power recline is a must if you are going to use often and I'm glad for the main 3 I use I have it. How comfortable are the chairs? Well I am 6'1" and about 225 pounds and I really enjoy them. Back height is perfect and plenty of space on both sides. My smaller wife and kids also enjoy them. How was delivery-awesome. I live in the Green Bay, WI area and ordered over 4th of July weekend-got them in less than a week. I was very surprised as to how fast they arrived. One box looked a little rough-but was fine when I opened them up. Setting up wasn't difficult at all. If you are putting in a basement though I would for sure have another guy help you move them around. The lights are cool-but I don't use much. I am writing this review for those who are nervous buying seats you never get to try out. I went shopping locally and found some real nice theatre seats at a local electronics store but the price was more than twice what paid for these and just couldn't justify the expense. If you have money and price is no object-well that's one thing. But if you are on a budget but still want some really good theatre seats-well these are a great bang for your buck buy. I will say if you are wondering if these chairs are more on the STIFF side or SPONGY side I would say STIFF-which I like. I hope this review helps. I've had them 6 months and love them. It's made it hard to justify going to the movie theatre."

"I purchased 4 of these in a straight line, with the motorized recline and accent lighting, 4 tray tables, and 1 tablet holder. Pros: very comfortable great recline recline design moves base forward minimizing the required space behind the chair cup-holders are nice the accessory port is nice the table is pretty stable Cons: accessory port is too close to cup holder, so if you use the table it will block the cup holder. accessory port is not well secured, so it can unscrew and fall off inside the arm, requiring you to flip the seat over and go into the narrow arm to reseat and re-attach, which is a 2 person job TheaterSeatStore doesn't entirely understand the products, so they don't necessarily ship what is needed. I bought 2 battery packs which say each can power two chairs, but they did not provide the cables necessary to hook 2 chairs up to 1 battery, nor is there an option to buy the cable accessories for the accessory port are overpriced, and from the specs (physical & power) it's just a car-power outlet so you can use any of those devices just fine. if you want the battery pack as a backup in case power goes out, forget it. The power supply in mine has a slot for 2 9v batteries to be inserted, which can power the lights and the recline mechanism. Not sure how many times it would work, but certainly for a power outage it would let you put the leg rest down "white glove" service had no clue how to install the battery packs and no instructions were provided, so it ended up being a lot of tracing wires and guessing until things worked as expected. When reclining or sitting back up, the leather on the arms rubs against the leather on the seats and makes a less than pleasant sound Overall I am happy with my charis so far, I've had the chairs 5 months now. Purchasing from TheaterSeatStore was not without problems, they failed to ship my tables and the y-cables for the batteries, and it took me months to get that all sorted out. TSS didn't want to take responsibility for the tables and kept passing the buck to the manufacturer, and never kept me up to date."

"I bought the XL700 recently (about a month ago). Bought two sets of a row of three for my media room (after some on-line research). The on-line purchase process was smooth. I even found a 10% Labor Day coupon on-line! After the purchase, I called the customer service for confirmation and was surprised at the positive experience. They promised I would receive the seats within two weeks and it arrived as promised. I purchased the white glove delivery and was satisfied wth the delivery service even though it was outsourced (and outsourced again). The seats are comfortable, we love the top grain leather and the power recline is really nice. The LED lights are nice but not surprisingly, are really only visible in dark room. The only negative aspects were the delivery people damaged one of our banisters and didn't clean up as well as we would have liked. Also the tray tables have not yet arrived. "White glove delivery adds headaches. In retrospect I would have paid extra to not have white glove delivery. They didn't know anything about setup. They came at 7PM. No instructions came with the chairs, unless they misplaced them. I still don't know if these have all the parts, they came earlier today. The instructions don't exist online. Support ends at 6PM. I had to rewire two of them and plug them in to an extension cord just to prove they reclined. The white glove people thought their job was done once they brought them in. No LEDs no power recline. No ability to charge the battery. You have to dismantle one chair and take a transformer out to charge a battery. Who knows what to do after the batteries are charged I don't know where to put them. It would seem after every charge you have to turn each chair upside down and rewire using new wire ties."

They really are a quality seat, especially with the power recline to customize your reclining angle. The only downside to the seats themselves is the lighting. The base lighting underneath was not a consistent color. Most were as pictured, but two of the seats were more a purplish blue. This doesn't bother me, but for those that have to have consistency, it might. Customer service was also outstanding. "Our Octane seats just arrived today in Raleigh, NC. We placed the order about 2 weeks ago so the delivery was exactlly on the outside guideline for delivery. Product ships in cartoned boxes and one box looked rather badly damaged but on inspection the product inside was fine. The exterior corners of the cartons on some peieces are 'empty' with no product butting up against it inside so i think that affects the support but the seat is well protected inside the cart in what is some sort of large sleeve. Rob was our sales guy and he was a pleasure to work with and we appreciate him making sure the product shipped inside the expectation because we needed this for a large function we were throwing. "I am a very particular shopper. One of the first questions I always ask is where the product is made. This seat is made in China. There is my first red light. Second question is how long it takes to deliver to my home. Answer was two weeks. Third question is whether this is real leather. Answer is "Yes' to all portions of the seat you touch...sides and backs are a synthetic leather. Based on this and my research of this company, I decided to place an order. Here is what happened. Email received 3 days after order date that product had shipped the day before. On day 6 after order, I was called to schedule a delivery on one of 3 options presented to me. Delivery company was actually a local company which handles the in home delivery services for this area that I live in. The exact same company actually delivered some kitchen appliances I bought a year earlier for my new home. They supposedly handle all deliveries for this area from out of state companies. The newer models now have lighting in the cup holder and under the seat included free of charge along with a very nice tray table holder.
