Acoustic Innovations Home Theater Seating

Acoustic Innovations home theater seating comes from a company that does not primarily make chairs. Founded in the mid-1990s and operating out of South Florida for more than thirty years, Acoustic Innovations designs, manufactures, and installs complete private cinemas: acoustic panels, fabric stretch wall systems, fiber optic star ceilings, and the seating that faces the screen. That order of operations matters. These seats were drawn by people who had already solved the room, which is why the line reads less like a furniture catalog and more like the final component of an acoustic design. Every chair is built to order in the USA, in any of ten models, in hundreds of leathers and fabrics.

Why This Brand All 10 Models Build Yours Room Fit Leather & Fabric How to Order

Why Choose Acoustic Innovations Seating

Acoustic Innovations does not just make chairs. For more than thirty years the company has designed, manufactured and installed complete private cinemas: acoustic panels, fabric stretch walls, fiber optic star ceilings, and the seating that faces the screen. The chairs were engineered against finished rooms, and it shows in the details.

  • Made in the USA. Every model is built domestically. Browse more North American made theater seating.
  • Built to order, never from stock. Upholstery, recline, lumbar, lighting and hardware are specified per order.
  • Hundreds of colorways. Premium top grain leathers, microfibers, velvets, Nusuedes and performance fabrics, plus Customer's Own Material and Customer's Own Leather.
  • Sectioned back support. Most models split the seat back into two or three independent panels, so your lumbar and shoulders are supported separately through a long film.
  • Rows up to six seats. Straight or curved, with center loveseat layouts available.
  • Five-year protection plans available on every Acoustic Innovations order. See our warranty and care terms.

All Ten Acoustic Innovations Theater Seats

Ten models, four distinct looks. Pricing shown is current promotional pricing per seat.

Traditional Acoustic Innovations Chairs

The Royal is the showpiece of the line: deep tufting, subtle nailhead trim and a skirted base that conceals the mechanism completely. It is also a wall hugger, so it reclines within inches of the wall. The Charleton is the softer traditional option, with rolled armrests and a dense seat back that suits a classic theater room. Both from $3,145 per seat.

Modern Acoustic Innovations Recliners

The Studio is the best seller in the collection: a clean contemporary profile with a two-panel back that supports the upper and lower spine independently. The Bergman pairs a straight-edged back with curved arms and a chaise footrest that leaves no gap at the knee. The Humphrey keeps those straight lines and adds gentle tufting across the interior back. All three suit a modern contemporary room. Bergman and Humphrey from $2,875, Studio from $3,145.

Comfort-First Loungers

The Spencer combines thick, dense back padding with a chaise lounger footrest for full head-to-toe support. The Mizner divides the back into three sections that follow the curve of the spine, and offers LED lit cup holders plus a swappable accessory dock for snack bowls, stemware and phones. Spencer from $2,875, Mizner from $3,145.

Transitional and Value Models

The High Pointe is the brand's transitional best seller, with a double split seatback, a bolstered headrest and a wall hugger mechanism. The Contempo sits at the same price with softer curves and dense padding front and back. Both from $2,575.

Entering the brand, the Prolounger is the value model at $1,799 per seat: a 41 inch back, a 23 inch seat, power recline as standard, and a shorter options list, in top grain Samba leather or Softique vegan faux leather. Same construction, lower entry point.

Build Your Acoustic Innovations Seating

Every order is configured from scratch. Here is what you choose:

  • Layout. From a single recliner to a row of six, straight or curved. A two-seat pair makes an ideal second row.
  • Recline. Manual or power on every model. Power is worth it on any chair with a chaise footrest, since manual stops rarely land where you want them.
  • Headrest and lumbar. Optional motorized headrests and power lumbar, adjustable per seat.
  • Heat and massage. Available across the collection. Compare the full heat and massage range.
  • Lighting. LED cup holders and ambient lighting packages, which matter in a room designed to run dark.
  • Arms and storage. Multiple cup holder styles, accessory docks, storage compartments and swivel tray tables.
  • Finish. Wood or metal legs, contrast stitching, tufting patterns and diamond stitch detailing by model.

Not sure which options are worth the upgrade? Call and we will walk your floor plan with you before anything goes to the factory.

Fitting Acoustic Innovations Seats to Your Room

  • Tight against a wall? The Royal and High Pointe recline within inches of it, recovering up to a foot of depth across a row.
  • Building two rows? Riser height drives second-row sightlines. Work through the riser planning guide, then browse risers, tiered platforms and built-on riser seating.
  • Wide room, shallow depth? A curved row keeps every seat aimed at the screen and buys back usable width.
  • Room visible from the kitchen? The Bergman and Studio read as designer furniture rather than a row of recliners.
  • Taller or larger viewers? Back heights and seat widths vary across the line. Cross-reference our oversized theater seating before choosing.

Send us your dimensions before you shortlist a model. Our room measuring guide covers the numbers we will ask for.

Leather and Fabric Options

Upholstery is where theater seating quietly separates. Acoustic Innovations works in premium top grain leathers that develop a patina rather than the bonded and PU materials common at lower price points, which crack and cannot be repaired.

  • Black top grain leather controls screen reflection best and is the default for dedicated theaters.
  • Brown top grain leather reads warmer and suits a multi-use media room.
  • Microfibers, velvets and Nusuedes absorb more high frequency energy than leather, which is worth knowing if the room is acoustically live.
  • Softique vegan faux leather on the Prolounger, for animal-free builds.
  • Customer's Own Material and Customer's Own Leather accepted on made-to-order models when you are matching an existing interior.

Cross-shopping grades? Our guide to spotting genuinely good leather explains what to look for on any spec sheet.

Complete the Room

Looking for acoustic treatment rather than seating? Shop acoustic wall panels, fabric-wrapped panel sets or a bundled acoustic room package.

The two go together. A full row of upholstered recliners is one of the largest absorptive surfaces in a small room, and it changes how the space measures between an empty calibration pass and a full house. Treat the walls and the seating as one budget, then calibrate once everything is in. Our home theater acoustics primer and speaker calibration guide walk through it. Finish with theater lighting and wall accents.

How Acoustic Innovations Compares

Cross-shopping premium theater seating? Here is where this brand lands.

  • Against stock premium seating: Acoustic Innovations is made to order in the USA in hundreds of colorways. Stock lines ship faster but lock you into a fixed palette and a fixed spec.
  • Against Fortress: Both are built to order domestically at a similar price. Fortress changes frame dimensions for rooms that need exact measurements. Acoustic Innovations offers a tighter ten-model collection with far less specification overhead, which most buyers prefer.
  • Against imported luxury seating: Domestic manufacturing means parts stay available and service is a phone call rather than a replacement purchase.
  • On price transparency: Many premium dealers hide pricing behind a quote request. Every Acoustic Innovations price is published on this page.

How to Order Acoustic Innovations Seating

  1. Measure the room. Wall-to-wall width, walkway clearance and recline depth behind each seat.
  2. Choose your layout. Row count and curve first, model second. It narrows the field fast.
  3. Pick your model and options. Recline type, lumbar, lighting, arms and upholstery.
  4. Order early. Because each seat is built for you, delivery runs about 14 to 16 weeks. Order your seating when you order the projector, not after the drywall goes up.
  5. We deliver and place it. Free in-home delivery nationwide, with your seats set in the room rather than left in the driveway.

Financing is available, and our home theater cost breakdown helps you budget the full build. Still narrowing it down? Read our seating selection guide or the complete theater design walkthrough.
