Flow (2024)
There’s not a single line of dialogue in this Oscar-winning film from Latvia, and you won’t miss it for a second. After a massive flood swallows the world, a solitary cat is forced to share a drifting boat with a capybara, a lemur, a dog, and a secretary bird, none of whom would normally give each other the time of day. Watching them figure out how to cooperate is a quiet lesson in adaptability, trust, and looking out for creatures who are nothing like you. Because kids have to read body language and behavior instead of following spoken exposition, it’s a genuinely great film for building observation skills. Just know that the flood scenes get intense, so it lands best with viewers around age 6 and up.
Wall-E (2008)
